'Art chairs' benefit youth symphony

Several art chairs will be auctioned off Saturday at Grizzly Peak Winery, 1600 E. Nevada St. to benefit the Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon's program of music and performance in the Rogue Valley. The event runs from — to 4 p.m.

From Harry Potter to the Ashland Grizzlies, bidders will find something to catch their fancy and warm their hearts and homes in the hand-painted and carved chairs being offered.

This is the kick off event for the Youth Symphony's Twentieth Season.

A $5 contribution per person at the gate will get a barbecue lunch, complimentary wine tastings of Grizzly Peak and Granite Peak wines, and entertainment by The Young Trio, the Backporch Swing, and by musicians from the Youth Symphony.

Directions: Follow East Nevada Street to the very end of the paved section, just past Pompador. This will lead to the front gate for Grizzly Peak Winery.
