'Life Could Be a Dream'

If you liked Oregon Cabaret Theatre’s 2011 production of “The Marvelous Wonderettes,” you’re going to love playwright Roger Bean’s “Life Could Be a Dream.” The show runs Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 23-26, at OCT, First and Hargadine streets. Set in 1963, the musical comedy tells the story of a group of young crooners rehearsing pop tunes in hopes of winning a radio contest. Christopher George Patterson directs. Curtain is at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at 1 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost $32 for Thursday’s show, $36 for Friday and Saturday and $30 for Sunday’s matinee. Bistro seats cost $18.
