100th birthday celebrated in style

Martha Salyer was born in Oklahoma in 1907. Her parents were both Native American &

Cherokee. She and her husband had a cattle ranch in Texas and two big Clydesdale horses.

They had one son, W.T. Tuner who built a house on 60 acres in Ashland after he got ouf the Air Force. He is deceased.

Martha has lived here for 11 years. She has lots of grandchildren.

Her advice for happiness is to "have lots of friends and stay healthy."

Martha turned 100 years old Wednesday, October 10, 2007. Her 100th birthday party was held at Ashley Senior Center Apts.
