Ashland makes list of best Baby Boomer Towns

Ashland, Oregon is listed among the top 21 places in the United States to retire by, a Web site founded by a Fortune 500 company executive. The list was compiled by considering: range of home prices, university access, airport convenience, active communities, great health care access, mild climates and abundant cultural activities. Hundreds of U.S. towns were narrowed to 21 Best Boomer Towns to retire or relocate.

The recession is accelerating the transition from larger cities to smaller towns by America’s Baby Boomer generation seeking lower costs of living, less stress and greater quality of life. The estimated 78 million boomers consist of those born between 1946 and 1964.
