Friday, 3:30 p.m. &

At Oak St and Hersey St, police stopped a vehicle for unreasonable sound amplification from a vehicle. The driver admitted that he did not have liability insurance. He was cited for unreasonable sound amplification from a vehicle and driving uninsured. The vehicle was impounded.

Saturday, 9:30 p.m. &

A resident of 100 block of 8th street reported damage to all four tires on his silver 1966 Airstream trailer. It was later found that a sharp object punctured the four tires.

Sunday, time unknown. &

Police responded to the report of a theft from a vehicle on Garfield St. Police spoke with an adult male that informed them that at about 5a.m. on Sunday an unknown subject broke the rear passenger window on his vehicle and stole over $800.00 worth of his belongings.

Monday, 7:53 a.m. &

A driver was leaving the Starbucks parking lot when he was hit by a bicyclist that was west bound on the sidewalk. The bicyclist was cited for unsafe bike operation on a sidewalk.

Monday, 9:23 a.m. &

A known subject entered onto the property and into a residence on Rose Ln after previously being trespassed. He was also in violation of a valid restraining order. The subject fled the scene prior to his apprehension. He was located at 1:32 p.m. on Water St and placed under arrest. He was transported and lodged at Jackson County Jail.

Monday, 2:29 p.m. &

An adult male of Central Point was stopped for traffic violations. He did not have any operating privileges or insurance and Star Towing towed his vehicle.

Monday, 4:12 p.m. &

An adult female was involved in a physical altercation with her live-in boyfriend. She was subsequently arrested and lodged at the Jackson County Jail charging physical harassment.

Monday, 5:20 p.m. &

Police responded to the Starbucks on E. Main St for a reported restraining order violation. After investigation, police did not find evidence of a restraining order violation, but did find information indicating the subject had poured coffee on the complainant's vehicle. Police cited and released the subject charging Criminal Mischief III.

Monday, 11:33 p.m. &

Ashland Police Officers and Southern Oregon University Campus Public Safety Officers responded to a report of an explosion that was heard from the SOU campus. A small homemade explosive device was set off inside a parking permit pay kiosk on the parking lot west of McNeal Hall on Webster St. The kiosk sustained damage to its lighting system. The case is under investigation.
