Tuesday, 9:05 p.m. &

An adult male was taken into protective custody because he was too intoxicated to care for himself. He was transported to the Moore Center in Medford.

Thursday, 2:09 a.m. &

A white female adult was assaulted outside of the Vinyl Club. The female suffered physical injury and was treated at Ashland Community Hospital. The case is under investigation.

Thursday, time unknown &

An unknown person entered an office within the Student Union Building of Southern Oregon University; broke open a locked desk drawer and took $500.00.

Friday, 11:58 a.m. &

A juvenile male was driving recklessly from Normal onto Ashland St. He lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the retaining wall at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home. He was cited for reckless driving.

Friday, 2:42 p.m. &

Officers responded to the report of a burglary. When police arrived they spoke with the resident who informed them that unknown subjects had entered his residence through a window and took a pound of marijuana from his medical grow between Thursday and Friday.

Friday, 5:48 p.m. &

Police responded to the report of a non-injury moving vehicle collision. When officers arrived they spoke with a woman who informed them that she parked her Isuzu Trooper in the Happy Falafel parking lot and went inside the business. When she returned she discovered that she had left her vehicle in neutral and it had rolled across the street and struck the pole at the entrance of the First Church of Christ, Scientist. The vehicle was towed, and no citations were issued.

Saturday, 5:53 a.m. &

An employee from the City of Ashland parks Department reported that between Friday and Saturday an unknown person drove a vehicle across the front lawn to Lithia Park causing damage to the grass.

Saturday, 11:18 a.m. &

Police stopped a vehicle for expired registration on Water St near Van Ness St. The driver was found to have a suspended license and no insurance. He was cited and the vehicle was impounded.

Saturday, 3:56 p.m. &

An unknown vehicle struck a resident's vehicle on Emerick St while it was parallel parked in front of his home. The driver then failed to leave any information or contact the owner of the vehicle.

Saturday, 5:46 p.m. &

Police initiated a traffic stop. The driver was found to have revoked driving privileges and had no proof of insurance for the vehicle. He was cited and released and his vehicle was impounded.

Saturday, 9:30 p.m. &

Officers responded to a reported minor in possession party on Van Ness. During the investigation three juveniles were cited for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption. The three were released to their parents. One juvenile was cited and released for furnishing alcohol to minors and a minor in possession of alcohol by consumption. The juvenile admitted to providing the alcohol to others at the party. The juvenile said she had got the alcohol from "shoulder tapping" downtown. One juvenile, who lives at the residence, was cited and released for providing a place for minors to consume alcohol. Another juvenile was cited for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption. The juvenile was lodged at the Jackson County Juvenile Department after it was discovered to be a violation of his parole.

Sunday, 12:59 a.m. &

Police witnessed a man driving a motor vehicle that is known to have suspended Oregon driving privileges. He was contacted and his vehicle was impounded.

Sunday, 1:15 a.m. &

A man reported that he had been assaulted. Case is under investigation.

Sunday, 10:43 a.m. &

A driver opened the side door of his vehicle while another vehicle was passing in the roadway. The door was opened into the passenger side while of the vehicle driving by, the damage was in excess of $1,500 and the vehicle was towed. The driver was cited for improper opening of a vehicle door.

Sunday, 11:51 a.m. &

A resident reported that sometime between Saturday, and Sunday an unknown person(s) stole a shirt that he had ordered via the mail. The person opened the mailer, stole the shirt and stuffed the wrapping back in the mailbox.

Sunday, 2:02 p.m. &

A man was stopped for a speeding violation. Police observed through the vehicle window a small amount of marijuana in a clear glass jar. The passenger was cited and released for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
