Monday, 6:38 a.m. &

Someone broke the glass panel to the RVTD bus stop in the 1100 block of Siskiyou Boulevard.

Monday, 10:57 a.m. &

Police took into custody two loose dogs running in traffic in the area of Laurel/Van Ness Streets. The dogs were boxers, one was brindle the other was brown.

Monday, 11:33 a.m. &

A man was cited and released for driving while uninsured. He vehicle was impounded.

Monday, 2:39 p.m.- A woman reported that someone had entered her locked vehicle at the 1300 block of Quincy Street and stole a portable CD player, one hundred dollars in cash and two credit cards. The lock of the driver side door was damaged.

Monday, 4:58 p.m. &

Police responded to the area of Granite Street near Baum Street after several reports were received of an intoxicated male who ripped signs down along the Alice Peil Walkway and banged on cars. Officers located the man, who was very intoxicated he was lodged at the Jackson County Jail charging disorderly conduct II and criminal mischief III.

Monday, 7:35 p.m. &

Officers responded to the area of Lincoln Street and Iowa Street after receiving a report of a male exposing himself to two female juveniles in an alley. Police were not able to locate the man.

Tuesday, 7:11 a.m. &

Ashland Fire department responded to the report of a man down in the driveway of a residence on the 30 block of Scenic Drive. The elderly male was transported to Ashland Community Hospital via ambulance, where he was pronounced dead of apparent natural causes.

Tuesday, 11:45 a.m. &

Police assisted to an unknown medical call at The Key of "C" coffee house, 116 Lithia Way. Officers determined that the male requesting care had 11 outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was transported to Ashland Community Hospital where he was issued a citation to appear in Ashland Municipal Court on the outstanding warrants.

Wednesday, 7:11 a.m. &

A woman reported that during the night someone had stolen a three-foot tall decorative Christmas penguin from the lawn of her house.

Wednesday, 8:52 a.m. &

Officers responded to a non-injury motor vehicle collision involving a vehicle that had slid off the roadway at Clarke Street and Garden Way, and down an embankment behind a business on Siskiyou Boulevard.

Wednesday, 9:20 a.m. &

The trailer of a semi-truck struck a stop sign on the southwest corner of Hersey and Oak Streets The collision was due to weather conditions. No citations were issued.

Wednesday, 9:29 a.m. &

A man reported being involved in a non-injury moving vehicle collision on Siskiyou Boulevard near Bridge Street. Icy conditions were to blame for the collision. Both vehicles were drivable.

Wednesday, 9:44 a.m. &

A 2006 Toyota Prius was struck by a train on Normal Street and the railroad tracks. The Prius sustained major damage and the driver suffered minor injuries. The accident was due to weather conditions.

Wednesday, 4:45 p.m. &

Officers stopped a vehicle for a registration related violation. The driver's privileges were determined to be suspended and the vehicle was not insured. The driver was cited and released for driving uninsured and improper display of stickers. The vehicle was left at the scene.
