Sunday, 11:41 p.m. &

A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. When officers approached the vehicle they could smell marijuana coming from it. Police spoke with the driver who admitted that there was marijuana in the car. The driver surrendered the marijuana and several other drug paraphernalia items. The driver was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Sunday, 4:35 p.m. &

A transient male was taken into police protective custody because he was too intoxicated to care for himself.

Sunday, 2:22 p.m. &

Employees at 7-Eleven reported that someone purchased goods with a counterfeit $20 bill. The case is under investigation.

Sunday, 2 p.m. &

A woman reported that someone stole her purse from Winburn Way across from the entrance to Lithia Park.

Sunday, 2 p.m. &

Officers stopped a vehicle driven by a woman for speeding. Upon further investigation, she was found not to be carrying her driver's license. She was cited for failure to carry and present a driver's license.

Sunday, 12:26 p.m. &

The owner of Tabu reported that some persons used an invalid debit card to purchase beverages. The case is under investigation.

Sunday, 2:59 a.m. &

While on foot patrol, police were contacted by a woman who said that someone took her jacket and cell phone while it was unattended inside the Vinyl Club.

Saturday, 11:42 p.m. &

Officers contacted a male who presented a suspended driver's license. The license was confiscated.

Saturday, 7 p.m. &

A person who did not wish to be identified turned in a wallet that had been found in the Ashland area. The wallet was placed into police department property.

Saturday, 6:07 p.m. &

A woman turned in a wallet she had found in the downtown area. A message was left for the owner and the wallet was placed into police department property.

Saturday, 5:52 p.m. &

An intoxicated male was transported to Detox.

Saturday, 4:38 p.m. &

An anonymous citizen reported finding a lost dog. Police located the dog's owner and returned him to his home on Spring Creek Drive.

Saturday, 2:25 p.m. &

Officers found a black lab wandering down the 2000 block of East Main Street. The dog was taken into protective custody and lodged at Jackson County animal control. The dog is described as a medium-build female black lab wearing a red bandana around its neck.

Saturday, 2:35 a.m. &

A man flagged down police to turn in a debit card that he found on the ground on Will Dodge Way near Pioneer Street.

Saturday, 1:20 a.m. &

Ashland police and OLCC responded to the 100 block of Third Street for a report of a loud party. Officers cited one resident for unnecessary noise, as loud voices and music could be heard throughout the neighborhood, and another resident was cited for unlawful possession of marijuana (less than an ounce). OLCC cited two minors for possession of alcohol and a resident for providing a place for minors to drink.

Friday, 10 p.m. &

A man reported being the victim of criminal mischief. He said that the air was removed from two tires while his vehicle was parked on Indiana Street just south of Madrone Street.

Friday, 5:20 p.m. &

A man said that a person hit a parking gate, causing $3,500 in damage. The driver failed to provide the required information. The case is under investigation.

Friday 4 p.m. &

A woman reported that someone ran into the side of her vehicle while it was parked in the city parking on Pioneer Street and Lithia Way. The driver failed to leave the appropriate contact information. The case is under investigation.

Friday, 9:42 a.m. &

Police were dispatched to the bus stop in front of Safeway to pick up a piece of luggage. An anonymous citizen spotted the abandoned luggage at the bus stop and phoned it in. Upon arrival, officers checked the bag and found it empty.

Thursday, 12 a.m. &

Someone entered a woman's unlocked vehicle on Quincy Street and stole her white iPod "road trip" adapter from the center console. A man's wallet containing $160 in cash was taken from the same console.

Thursday, 12 a.m. &

Someone entered a man's unlocked Kia Sedona parked on California Street and stole a silver toolbox full of tools. The same person then entered the man's BMW and stole an iPod "shuffle" from the glove compartment.

Thursday, 11:30 p.m. &

A woman said that someone entered her unlocked van and rummaged through the glove compartment and center console. They then exited the vehicle without taking any items.

Thursday, 9 p.m. &

Someone entered a man's unlocked vehicle and stole his wallet, his business card holder and his Buck brand pocketknife. The vehicle was parked on the 300 block of Palm Avenue.

Thursday, 8:45 p.m. &

A person entered a woman's unlocked Subaru Outback, rummaged through the glove compartment and ashtray and exited the vehicle without taking anything. The car was parked on the 100 block of Lincoln Street.

Thursday, 6:30 p.m. &

Someone rummaged through the center console and glove compartment of a woman's unlocked vehicle and exited without taking anything. The vehicle was parked on the 200 block of Garfield Street.
