Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for several traffic violations. The driver was found to be driving while suspended. The driver was cited and his vehicle was impounded.

Monday, 11:19 p.m. &

A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. The driver had alcohol in his vehicle and was arrested on a detainer from his probation officer.

Monday, 10:30 p.m. &

A citizen turned in a found bicycle to the Ashland police department.

Monday, 6:40 p.m. &

An adult male entered Pasta Piatti and caused public alarm by yelling and screaming that he is a "schizophrenic" and "high." He then entered the restroom and urinated on the floor. He was taken into custody and lodged at Jackson County Jail.

Monday, 4 p.m. &

The owner of Grilla Bites reported that someone used a counterfeit $100 bill.

Monday, 11:45 a.m. &

A man reported that someone entered his truck unlawfully and stole a GPS console and a pair of sunglasses. The driver-side lock was damaged. The vehicle was parked on the 200 block of East Main Street.

Monday, 11:24 a.m. &

US Bank fraud investigator reported that a man stole $12,847 by depositing a check into his checking account that he knew would not be honored, and withdrawing the money from his account before US Bank was aware the check would not be honored. The case is under investigation.

Monday, 3:15 a.m. &

Officers responded to the report of a hit and run collision at the 400 block of Wightman Street. A tan Honda Accord struck a parked black Ford Focus. The driver was stopped several blocks away for several traffic violations while driving her vehicle. The driver had no insurance on her vehicle. She was cited and released on charges of fail to perform the duties of a driver and driving uninsured, and her vehicle was impounded.

Sunday, 3:42 p.m. &

Someone found a black leather wallet in the area of Water Street and Central Avenue and turned it into the desk at the Plaza Inn. The owner was contacted by phone.
