A person was detained for a warrant. Due to a priority incident, the person was released.

Police contacted an adult male who was urinating on Calle Guanajuato Way near Winburn Way. The male was too intoxicated to care for himself. He was taken to detox in Medford and cited for scattering rubbish under Ashland Municipal code.

Wednesday, 1:24 a.m. &

A known suspect broke the front window of a house in the first block of N. Mountain Street. The case is under investigation.

Tuesday, 10:02 p.m. &

Police contacted a man who had a valid felony warrant out of California. He was arrested and lodged at the Jackson County jail to await extradition to Tuolumne County, Calif.

Tuesday, 9:30 p.m. &

Two neighbors in the 200 block of Nutley Street called to report loud dog barking coming from a house. When officers responded, they heard two dogs barking loud and continuously for about 10 minutes. Police returned on Tuesday and cited the resident of the address for dog noise.

A female adult was taken into protective custody for a mental health evaluation.

A male juvenile was arrested for theft.

Tuesday, 5:19 p.m. &

A man reported that between Saturday and Sunday, someone entered his unlocked house and took $20 cash and a book bag. The book bag was located two houses down by a neighbor in their yard.

Tuesday, 7:35 a.m. &

Officers responded to a report of a DUII driver at The Breadboard restaurant. The driver had a warrant for her arrest. Police issued her a citation for the warrant and because she was intoxicated and unable to care for herself, she was transported to detox in Medford.

A known female was issued a stalking citation.

A man was arrested and lodged for criminal trespass.

Monday, 9:53 p.m. &

Police were dispatched to Safeway where loss prevention officers were detaining a shoplifter. A woman had walked out of the store with $82 worth of merchandise that she had no intention of paying for. She was cited for theft.

Monday, 1:56 p.m. &

A woman was stopped for traffic violations. She had cancelled her insurance and her vehicle was towed.
