Medford police officer requested Ashland police assistance with interviewing an elderly theft/fraud victim in Ashland.

Sometime between — and 1:30 p.m. someone stole a woman's laptop computer from a second floor table at the SOU Hannon Library.

Wednesday, 1:40 p.m. &

A vehicle was stopped in the inbound lane on North Main Street for a vehicle that was turning when he was rear ended. The driver of the car behind the first driver was cited for following too close.

Wednesday, 2:04 p.m. &

A driver was in the left run lane on Ashland Street making a left turn onto Tolman Creek Road, when another driver drove around the first vehicle and pulled in front of him while he was making his turn. The second driver was cited for dangerous left turn.

Wednesday, 3:23 p.m. &

Sometime between 8 and 11 p.m. on May 11, someone stole a $100 bill from the Cox Hall conference room on the SOU Campus.

Wednesday, 4:54 p.m. &

The Department of Human Services requested Ashland police assistance as they attempted to interview a parent with regard to possible child neglect.

Fire and Rescue

Between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. today, Ashland Fire and Rescue responded to 10 emergency calls &

8 general medical calls and one motor vehicle collision &

and transported four people to area hospitals. They responded to one fire alarm, caused by a pretzel in a microwave at Mt. View Retirement.
