A woman misplaced her blue denim purse at an unknown location. She originally reported it as stolen from Washington Mutual, however, the video surveillance tape showed her leaving with her purse. Case inactive.

A man was cited for skateboarding in the downtown area, riding a skateboard in a careless manner, and failure to obey a traffic control device.

A woman reported a hit-and-run to her vehicle on the corner of B Street and First Street.

A man was cited for driving the wrong way on a one way on the Plaza. His vehicle was impounded for driving without insurance.

One vehicle rear-ended another. One vehicle was cited for following too close. Both drivers were valid and insured.
Thursday, 1:22 p.m. &
Police responded to a theft from 1475 Siskiyou Boulevard. A woman had stolen $19.95 worth of merchandise without paying. She was cited and released to appear in Ashland municipal court.
Thursday, 11:35 a.m. &
A woman was found in possession of a shopping cart belonging to Safeway Shopping Center. The woman was arrested and transported to Jackson County Jail for theft II (theft of lost or mislaid property).
Thursday, 9:20 a.m. &
A driver was stopped for traffic violation. The driver did not have valid insurance on the vehicle and the vehicle was towed. During the search of the vehicle, a pipe and marijuana was located. He was also cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

Emergency workers responded to nine calls between 7 a.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. today, including: One grass fire, eight general medical calls and four people transported to the hospital.
Two Ashland Fire Rescue unites responded to the Ashland watershed to rescue an injured Mountain biker.
