Sunday, 8:45 p.m. &

A male was cited for skateboarding in a prohibited area after officers observed him riding his skateboard in the Plaza near the flagpole. He was cited and released.

Sunday, 4:17 p.m. &

A man was on his bicycle travelling east on an alley paralleling Siskiyou Boulevard from Union Street toward Sherman Street. He emerged from the alley onto Sherman Street, without stopping, into the path of a moving vehicle. A collision ensued where the man on the bicycle struck the front of the vehicle, crashed into the windshield and slid off the other side of the car. The man received minor injuries to his face and refused medical treatment. The man was cited for failure to stop when emerging from an alley and failure to yield when entering roadway.

Police were dispatched to assist with an unattended death investigation.

Sunday, 2:39 a.m. &

A man was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself. The man was transported to detox.

Saturday, 10:52 p.m. &

A woman reported her thirteen-year-old daughter as a runaway.

Saturday, 7:59 p.m. &

Police responded to Park Street along with Ashland Fire and Rescue to a reported overdose. An adult female was transported by ambulance to Rogue Valley Medical Center where a mental health hold was placed on her.

Saturday, 4:20 p.m. &

Officers contacted a woman on Garfield Street near East Main Street. She had a warrant for her arrest. She was cited and released.

Saturday, 2:40 a.m. &

A man reported the theft of two purses belonging to his friends while at the Vinyl Club.

Saturday, 2:30 a.m. &

A man was cited and released charging criminal trespass II after he was found to be trespassing on a property on North First Street.

Saturday, 1:07 a.m. &

An adult male was arrested for assault on a public safety officer, assault IV, harassment, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct II. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail.

Friday, 9:54 p.m. &

An unknown person trespassed in a yard on the 1000 block of Iowa Street.

Friday, 6:35 p.m. &

A non-injury motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Lithia Way and East Main Street. Both vehicle were towed from the scene and a man was cited and released charging failure to obey a traffic control device and operating a vehicle without privileges.

Friday, 3:31 p.m. &

Officers viewed graffiti on the Clay Street overpass.

Friday, 1:30 p.m. &

Police responded to the report of a theft that occurred at 11 North Main Street. An employee at the business said that a green silk hand woven scarf had been stolen. The employee said that an adult female had been trying it on several minutes prior to leaving the store. After the woman left the store the scarf was no longer there. The employee said that the woman had not paid for the scarf.

Friday, 1:30 p.m. &

A City of Ashland employee reported that a Jeep hit the gate at 1400 Granite Street causing $700 worth of damage to the gate. The case is under investigation.

Friday, 1:18 p.m. &

Officers responded to the report of a known individual trespassing at a business on the 400 block of North Main Street. The manager said that an adult female who had been trespassed from the business earlier in the day was trespassing on the property. The case is under investigation.

Friday, 1:12 p.m. &

A woman entered Market of Choice and stole items totaling $21.99. She was cited for theft III and released.

Friday, 12:38 p.m. &

A vehicle was stopped for traffic violations. The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license and there was no insurance on the vehicle. The driver was cited and the vehicle was impounded.
