Barry McGuire and John York

Barry McGuire and John York will perform the sounds of the ’60s at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Unitarian Fellowship, 87 Fourth St. Singer and songwriter McGuire launched his career in 1962 as lead singer of The New Christy Minstrels, scoring such hits as “Green, Green” and “Greenback Dollar.” Guitarist York was a bassist with The Byrds for one year and appears on the band’s studio albums “Dr. Byrds & Mr. Hyde” and “Ballad of Easy Rider.” Tickets cost $20 in advance and are available at www.brownpapertickets.com, or $22 at the door.
