Bounty harvested at Ashland Rotary garden

The Rotary Club of Ashland garden produced about 2,000 pounds of vegetables for the Ashland Emergency Food Bank this year, club officials said in a news release.

Ashland Rotary volunteers prepare, plant and harvest food from 4,000 square feet of garden beds. These volunteers worked about 450 hours per year beginning in the spring, all through the summer and into the fall. The fresh vegetables are donated to the food bank, which distributes them to those in need.
