Grizz duo defeated in round 2

Ashland High's top boys doubles team fell to the No. 2 seeds in the second round of the OSAA Class 5A state tennis tournament Thursday at West Hills Racquet and Fitness Club in Portland.

Jeff Laskos, a junior, and Chas Bernard, a freshman, were ousted from the championship bracket by seniors Josh Guyer and Tyler Walsh of Summit, 6-3, 6-4.

Laskos and Bernard still have a shot at the consolation trophy. They play Alin Syed and Neil Alexander of Cleveland in the consolation quarterfinals today.
