Violinist Darol Anger and mandolinist Mike Marshall reflect the ever-changing face of folk music. Former members of fusion group Montreux, they’ve each recorded music that ranges through classical, jazz, Latin and bluegrass. Marshall’s Modern Mandolin Quartet and Anger’s Turtle Island String Quartet set the standard for eclectic folk classicism. The duo will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at the Unitarian Center, 87 Fourth St. Tickets cost $22 in advance and are available at Music Coop, online at www.stclairevents.com or by calling 541-535-3562.
