Police and fire reports Dec 8

Friday 2:05 a.m. — Police arrested a 23-year-old man for driving under the influence of intoxicants during a traffic stop in the 200 block of East Main Street. He was transported to APD where he blew a .16% BAC and was cited and released.

Friday 10:35 a.m. — Police responded to a residence in the first block of Nursery Street for a welfare check. After obtaining consent to enter the residence, police found several marijuana pipes and 2.5 ounces of marijuana sitting on the coffee table. The pipes were destroyed and the marijuana was placed into evidence.

Saturday 12:57 a.m. — Police responded to 7-Eleven in reference to a report of an adult furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Saturday 2:41 a.m. — Police arrested a 38-year-old man for driving under the influence of intoxicants during a traffic stop on North Main and Maple streets. He was cited and released to a sober adult.

Saturday 3:07 a.m. — Police arrested a 22-year-old man for driving under the influence of intoxicants in the area of Ashland Street and Walker Avenue. He was cited and released to a sober adult.

Saturday 12:50 p.m. — Police responded to Ashland Street and YMCA Way for a motor vehicle crash. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Ashland Fire & Rescue transported one driver to Ashland Community Hospital for minor injuries. The other driver was cited at the scene for careless driving.

Saturday 2:18 p.m. — Police cited a 37-year-old man for open container on the plaza.

Saturday 2:22 p.m. — Police responded to a non-injury motor vehicle accident in the first block of Water Street. One vehicle was towed, and a driver was cited and released for making an improper right turn.

Saturday 9:28 p.m. — Police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the first block of Alida Street. A 27-year-old man was arrested for interfering with a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was lodged at Jackson County Jail. A 58-year-old woman was also cited and released for interfering with a police officer.

Saturday 9:28 p.m. — An adult woman was taken into police protective custody on a police mental health hold in the first block of Alida Street. She was transported to Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Sunday 11:52 a.m. — Police stopped a 29-year-old man for speeding on Interstate 5 near exit 14. He was found to be in possession of a fully loaded Glock 19 that was readily accessible. He was subsequently arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm.

Sunday 5:25 a.m. — APD assisted the Talent Police Department with an investigation for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Sunday 11:56 a.m. — Police investigated a report of sexual abuse that took place in Ashland area. The case is under investigation.

Friday 8:37 p.m. — AFR responded to an emergency medical services call in the 1300 block of Quincy Street.

Saturday 8:03 a.m. — AFR responded to an aid call in the 900 block of Skylark Place.

Saturday 10:31 a.m. — AFR responded to an emergency medical services call in the 500 block of Mountain Meadows Drive.

Saturday 12:51 p.m. — AFR responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the 2200 block of Ashland Street.

Saturday 3:17 p.m. — AFR responded to an emergency medical services call in the 500 block of North Main Street.

Saturday 8:33 p.m. — AFR responded to an emergency medical services call in the 100 block of East Wagner Street.
