Police and fire reports July 14

Monday 12:19 p.m. — A backpack was found at Lithia Park in the 100 block of Winburn Way. The item was stored in police lost-and-found in the bike compound.

Monday 2:09 p.m. — An Ashland resident reported fraudulent use of a credit card that occurred in San Francisco, Calif.

Monday 2:20 p.m. — A 46-year-old man was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana in the area of Granite and High Street.

Monday 3:45 p.m. — A male juvenile was cited and released for reckless driving and unlawful possession of a firearm in the 600 block of Granite Street.

Monday 6:35 p.m. — Police investigated a burglary in the 200 block of Skycrest Drive.

Monday 7:34 p.m. — Police responded to a report of an attempted suicide at Ashland Springs Hotel in the 200 block of East Main Street.

Tuesday 3:50 a.m. — Police arrested a 22-year-old man and a 25-year-old man for trespassing after they were found sleeping on the railroad tracks near the 100 block of Clear Creek Drive. The 22-year-old man was additionally charged with giving false information to a police officer. The 25-year-old man was cited and released, and the 22-year-old man was lodged at Jackson County Jail.
