Police and fire reports May 25

Friday 9:19 a.m. — Police received 22 reports of vandalized vehicles with words such as "HIV" or "RAT" etched into their windshields between Friday, May 21 and Sunday, May 23. The vandalisms occurred on Ashland, California, East Main, First, Hargadine, Lincoln, North Pioneer, South Pioneer and Quincy streets, Lithia and Winburn ways, and Hillview Drive.

Friday 12:15 p.m. — Police were dispatched to a report of a distraught man yelling and crying in the area of Siskiyou Boulevard and Sherman Street. The man was later located at the Morton Street cemetery where he was found intoxicated. He was subsequently lodged at detox and was cited for drinking in public and open container in public.

Friday 3:45 p.m. — A 16-year-old female driver was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way after she was involved in a traffic accident with another vehicle in the intersection of Allison and Union streets. There were no injuries, and the 16-year-old's vehicle was totaled.

Friday 7:16 p.m. — A hit-and-run was reported in the 2300 block of Ashland Street. The involved parties were contacted and agreed to civilly compromise the issue.

Saturday 2:18 p.m. — A marijuana pipe was confiscated from a person in a parking lot near Pioneer Street and Lithia Way.

Saturday 11:56 a.m. — A woman reported a hit-and-run to her vehicle while it was parked in the first block of sixth street.

Saturday 1:19 p.m. — Police responded to a report of theft in the 400 block of Wightman Street. There are currently no further leads or suspects.

Saturday 1:24 p.m. — Police cited a 39-year-old man for open container of alcohol in public in the first block of South Pioneer Street.

Saturday 4:43 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a suicidal man who was missing and possible endangered in the Ashland area. The man was located in Medford, and was taken into protective custody.

Saturday 6:22 p.m. — Police received a report of a hit-and-run involving a street sign at Harmony Lane and Siskiyou Boulevard. The street department was notified.

Saturday 9:26 p.m. — Police responded to a residence in the 500 block of Scenic drive for a report of a burglary. There are no suspects or leads.

Sunday 12:17 a.m. — Police received 16 reports of vehicle tires slashed on California, Garfield, Quincy and Wightman streets.

Sunday 3:52 a.m. — Police received a report of a suspicious male in the Southern Oregon University Greensprings residence hall east parking lot in the 400 block of Wightman Street. The suspect was unable to be located.

Sunday 2:34 p.m. — Police cited a male juvenile for minor in possession of tobacco and for scattering rubbish in the first block of North Main Street. Another juvenile was additionally cited for minor in possession of tobacco.

Sunday 4:48 p.m. — Police responded to an elderly deceased man in the 300 block of Ashland Street. His death appeared to be from natural causes.

Sunday 8:42 p.m. — Police arrested a 69-year-old man for disorderly conduct in the area of Siskiyou Boulevard and Sherman Street.

Friday 3:13 p.m. — AFR responded to an emergency medical services call in the 1800 block of Highway 99 North.

Friday 3:53 p.m. — AFR responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the 200 block of East Hersey Street.

Friday 3:57 p.m. — AFR responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the 300 block of East Hersey Street.

Friday 6:06 p.m. — AFR responded to an emergency medical services call in the 100 block of California Street.

Friday 7:36 p.m. — AFR responded to an emergency medical services call in the 100 block of maple Street.

Friday 8:11 p.m. — AFR responded to an emergency medical services call in the 200 block of Tolman Creek Road.
