Police and fire reports Oct 12

Friday 8:33 a.m. — A sex offender failed to make an annual registration in the Ashland area. It appears the offender moved without registering as required. Another sex offender failed to provide true and correct information on the registration. The cases are under investigation.

Friday 3:47 p.m.—A known woman reported that she had been threatened by a known suspect in the 100 block of Wightman Street.

Friday 5:57 p.m. — A man reported an attempted burglary to his business in the 100 block of A Street. The attempted burglar left obvious pry marks to the business's door, and the crime occurred late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.

Friday 11:07 p.m. — Police arrested a 28-year-old man for probation violation in the first block of Water Street.

Friday 10:02 p.m. — Police arrested a 25-year-old after he was found to have a warrant for his arrest. The warrant was issued by the City of Ashland for parole violation on a trespassing charge. He was lodged at Jackson County Jail.

Friday 11:20 p.m. — A woman was transported to Ashland Community Hospital for alcohol intoxication in the 600 block of Normal Avenue.

Friday 11:43 p.m. — Police arrested a 31-year-old woman for driving under the influence of intoxicants during a traffic stop on the first block of North Main Street. She was transported to Ashland Police Department where she blew a .14 BAC and was cited and released.

Saturday 7:29 a.m. — A woman reported that her vehicle had been vandalized while parked in the 1500 block of Peachey Road. The rear window and two side windows on the driver's side had been broken with a blunt object. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

Saturday 12:02 p.m. — Police picked up property found in the first block of Winburn Way.

Saturday 1:00 p.m. — Police responded to a report of possible family abuse in the 900 block of Spring Way.

Saturday 3:24 p.m. — Police responded to a three-vehicle crash at the corner of North Main and Skidmore streets. One vehicle crossed the center line and entered the opposing lane of traffic, and struck two separate vehicles. One of the vehicles collided with a light pole, and a driver was cited for failing to drive within his lane. A passenger in one of the vehicles was additionally cited for minor in possession of alcohol after she attempted to destroy and conceal an alcoholic beverage in her vehicle.

Saturday 6:30 p.m. — A man crashed his RV into another person's parked car in the 2700 block of Clay Creek Way. The man was cited for operating without privileges and failure to carry proof of insurance.

Saturday 10:22 p.m. — Police arrested a 54-year-old man in the 900 block of Siskiyou Boulevard for assault, menacing, reckless endangering, harassment and two counts of assault. He was lodged at Jackson County Jail.

Saturday 10:28 p.m. — A 28-year-old man was contacted by Southern Oregon University Campus Public Safety for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana in the 1100 block of Siskiyou Boulevard. The man yelled and caused public alarm while being issued the citation, and during the incident, a 40-year-old man told the 28-year-old man that he did not need to stay, and then physically tried to remove the other man from police custody. The 28-year-old man was additionally arrested for disorderly conduct and was cited and released. The 40-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer, and he was lodged at Jackson County Jail.

Sunday 1:19 a.m. — Police arrested a 41-year-old man for disorderly conduct in the first block of North Pioneer Street. He was cited and released.

Sunday 3:24 a.m. — Police arrested a 43-year-old man for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and criminal mischief after he hit a parked vehicle in the 900 block of B Street. He was cited and released.

Sunday 11:15 a.m. — A woman reported that her purse had been stolen on Friday near the corner of Gresham and Iowa streets. The case is under investigation.

Sunday 1:25 p.m. — A woman reported that a known suspect stole her bicycle from the Southern Oregon University campus in the 1400 block of Oregon Street. The case is under investigation.

Sunday 2:52 p.m. — A burglary at a residence in the Ashland area was reported. The case is under investigation.

Sunday 3:41 p.m. — An unknown suspect stole $59 worth of gas from the Texaco station at 345 Lithia Way.

Monday 12:46 a.m. — A 24-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants near the intersection of Siskiyou Boulevard and Mary Jane Avenue. He was cited and released.
