Police and fire reports Oct 27

Monday 7:43 a.m. — A Parks and Recreation employee found two bloody latex gloves and blood smeared on a picnic table at Sherwood Park. A local resident reported that she heard a possible altercation in the park the previous night. The scene was processed for evidence, and there are no victims or suspects at this time.

Monday 11:19 a.m. — Police stopped a 45-year-old man for traffic violations on Tolman Creek Road near Ashland Street. He was found to have a criminally suspended license and was lodged at Jackson County Jail. He was additionally cited for driving uninsured, failing to wear a seat belt and failing to register his vehicle.

Monday 11:53 a.m. — Police received a report of possible sex abuse in the Ashland area. The case is currently under investigation.

Monday 12:19 p.m. — Police responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash in the 200 block of North Pioneer Street. There were no injuries, and one car was towed away from the scene.

Monday 2:52 p.m. — Police investigated possible child neglect in the 1300 block of Quincy Street. The case is closed due to lack of evidence of criminal activity.

Monday 10:48 p.m. — Police arrested a 24-year-old man for unlawfully entering a vehicle and stealing an iPod near Glenn and North Main streets. He was lodged at Jackson County Jail.

Monday 11:21 p.m. — Police took a man into protective custody in the 2300 block of Ashland Street and transported him to the Medford Detox Center.

Monday 11:29 a.m. — Ashland Fire & Rescue responded to a medical emergency in the 400 block of Siskiyou Boulevard.

Monday 12:12 p.m. — Ashland Fire & Rescue responded to a medical emergency in the 200 block of Greenbriar Place.

Monday 12:17 p.m. — Ashland Fire & Rescue responded to a medical emergency in the 500 block of North Main Street.

Monday 12:20 p.m. — Ashland Fire & Rescue responded to a non-injury motor vehicle crash in the 200 block of North Pioneer Street.
