Police and fire reports Oct 7

Tuesday 6:46 p.m. — Police assisted the Oregon Liquor Control Commission in investigating a liquor license violation in the first block of South Second Street.

Tuesday 6:49 p.m. — Police arrested a 21-year-old man for theft after he was caught shoplifting at Market of Choice.

Tuesday 9:34 p.m. — Four marijuana plants were seized from a Southern Oregon University dormitory room in the Greensprings Residence Hall. The case will be referred to the district attorney's office for possible prosecution.

Wednesday 1:06 a.m. — Police arrested a 23-year-old man for driving under the influence of intoxicants during a traffic stop near the intersection of Siskiyou Boulevard and Morse Avenue. He was additionally cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. He was later found to have a valid Josephine County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of larceny.

Wednesday 1:19 a.m. — Police arrested a 35-year-old man for driving under the influence of intoxicants during a traffic stop for multiple violations at the intersection of Fifth and East Main streets. He was transported to Ashland Police Department where he blew .11 BAC and was cited and released.

Wednesday 2:23 a.m. — A 23-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were issued citations for public indecency in the 100 block of East Main Street.

Tuesday 6:43 p.m. — Rescuers responded to a medical emergency in the first block of South Pioneer Street.

Tuesday 8:59 p.m. — Rescuers responded to a medical emergency in the 200 block of Talent Avenue.
