Police investigate Halloween stabbing in Ashland

Ashland police are investigating a stabbing that happened during an argument near downtown Halloween night.

No one has been arrested and the injured person was taken to Rogue Regional Medical Center with what police described as non-life-threatening injuries, police said in a news release early this morning.

Officers were called to a disturbance at about 10:45 p.m. in the area of North Main and Bush streets, the news release said. They found that an argument involving multiple people there had turned violently physical and one person had been stabbed.

Ashland Fire and Rescue examined the victim, who wasn't identified by police in today's release, and took the person to the hospital.

Detectives questioned witnesses and people possibly involved in the incident, but, so far, have made no arrests.

The investigation continues and police ask anyone who has information that might help to call Detective Rick Spence at 541-552-2172.
