Police reports Jan 29

Wednesday 8:06 a.m. — A female juvenile corrections client committed the crimes of harassment, resisting arrest, and attempted assault of a public safety officer in the 600 block of Mistletoe Road when her probation officer attempted to transfer her back into his custody from that of the Lithia Springs program.

Wednesday 9:14 a.m. — A person reported theft of property entrusted to a business in the 1200 block of Siskiyou Boulevard. The case is under investigation.

Wednesday 11:06 a.m. — An Ashland woman reported that an unknown person had been using her debit card to make purchases at stores in South Carolina.

Wednesday 3:20 p.m. — Police received a report of possible child abuse in the 400 block of Euclid Avenue from the Department of Human Services. Police and the DHS later determined that the situation did not reach the level of abuse.

Wednesday 3:29 p.m. — A man reported that someone entered his unlocked residence and stole two electric guitars in the 2400 block of Siskiyou Boulevard.

Wednesday 5:32 p.m. — Police received a report of possible child abuse in the 1100 block of East Main Street.

Wednesday 5:49 p.m. — A man reported a burglary in process at his neighbor's residence in the 200 block of Liberty Street. Police viewed five juveniles trespassing on the vacant property. Three of the five juveniles were cited and released to their parents on the charge of minor in possession of alcohol.

Wednesday 8:51 p.m. — Police arrested a 21-year-old man for misdemeanor driving while suspended in the area of Garfield and Iowa streets.

Wednesday 11:11 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a missing suicidal adult in the 600 block of Park Street. Several police units searched the area, but were unable to locate the person. The subject was entered as a missing person, and a local teletype was sent out. The case will remain open, pending location of the subject.

Thursday 12:34 a.m. — Police arrested a 27-year-old man for driving under the influence of intoxicants during a stop for a traffic violation near the intersection of Bridge Street and Siskiyou Boulevard. He was transported to Ashland Police Department where he blew a .05% BAC and was cited and released.
