Police reports March 13

Thursday 11:17 a.m. — Police received a report of abuse in the Ashland area from the Department of Human Services. The referral was documented and closed at the screening level.

Thursday 12:42 p.m. — Police cited and released a 20-year-old for theft and possession of alcohol after responding to a report of a shoplifter in store custody on Ashland Street.

Thursday 3:19 p.m. — Police received a report of stolen beverages from a delivery truck on the downtown plaza. An unknown man took three cases of beer and left the scene on a skateboard. The suspect reportedly discarded the drinks on the area of Water and Hersey streets and fled. Neither the cases nor the suspect have been located.

Thursday 3:30 p.m. — Police picked up a found Sony digital camera at Soundpeace. The camera was left on a shelf by a group of students touring the shop.

Thursday 4:47 p.m. — A volunteer officer found a baby stroller behind the plaza near Calle Guanajuato Way. The stroller was stored at the Ashland Police Department in the back.

Friday 1:56 a.m. — Police arrested a 36-year-old woman for driving under the influence of intoxicants on B and North Second streets. She was cited and released.

Friday 2:28 a.m. — Police investigated a fight in front of the Vinyl Club involving several individuals.
