Public library meeting tonight

The Ashland City Council will hold a meeting tonight at 6 p.m. in the council chambers, 1175 East Main St., to discuss and take public input on Jackson County's plan to outsource the management of the 15 area libraries, including the one in Ashland. The council will also discuss how to proceed with a September ballot measure that would institute a property tax hike to augment library services or hours of operation.
