Learn from local stonemason and long-time stone-stacker Jesse Biesanz as he describes how to slow down, listen to the stones and connect with them. Biesanz leads a hands-on demonstration of techniques and ideas for stone-stacking, influenced by Bill Dan, Andy Goldsworthy and Tomas Lipps. This presentation is for ages 7 and up, and will take place at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept 17, in the Lithia Park Rock Stacking Area, located at the last parking lot in Lithia Park on Granite Street just before the pavement ends. Cross the footbridge over Ashland Creek and walk left on the trail (downstream) about 100 feet to the rock stacking area. Cost is $15. Attendees must register by Friday, Sept. 16 at www.ashland.or.us/register.
