Ronald Jay Olson

Ronald Jay Olson Sr. passed away Friday, April 22, 2011, at home with his loving wife. He was born on April 22, 1942, in Chico, Calif. Ron married Chantal Debernard, in Cognac, France, on April 11, 1962.

He served in the U.S. Army for 21 years. After retiring from the military, he was a State Park Ranger at Valley of the Rogue State Park. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling, with many fantastic trophies!

He is survived by his wife, Chantal; daughter, Tanya Kurz; grandchildren, Brandon Erwin, Ronald Jay Olson III, Kelsey Kurz, Michelle Kurz; and step-grandchildren, Mickala, Jesse, Wes, Kayla and Ruben; his three brothers, Gary, Lon, and Eugene. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Jay Olson Jr.

A memorial service will be held at Trail Christian Fellowship, Saturday, May 14, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Doug Higuera will be officiating.
