SOU's Baker an All-American

Southern Oregon University junior sprinter Antwun Baker earned All-American honors Friday at the NAIA Track and Field Championships in Edwardsville, Ill., by finishing sixth in the 100 meters.

Baker advanced to the finals after finishing fourth in his semifinal heat with a personal-best time of 10.765, the third-fastest time in school history.

Baker is the first All-American for the Raiders in 2009. Senior Cameron Kreuz will look to join him Saturday in the finals of the 1,500. Alex Waroff finished 13th in the final day of the decathlon. Waroff finished with 5,402 points, even though he no-heighted in the pole vault.

The National Championships wrap up Saturday.
