Sleaze-Nite at Stillwater, presented by The Bad Film Society, returns Thursday with a screening of "Black Shampoo" from 1976.
It's blaxploitation at its best/worst: a mash-up of "Shaft" and "Shampoo!" A swinging hairdresser on Sunset Strip goes up against the mob. Action explodes when the "loving" machine becomes the "killing" machine. Chainsaw in hand, he gets down to the get down on the vicious mob gang that wrecks his shop and kidnaps his woman.
Stillwater is at 1951 Highway 66, Ashland. It's that black building down by the cemetery across from the Napa Auto store. The event is free for ages 21-and-over. Stillwater serves food and alcohol.
