WinterFaire offers hosts of kid friendly activities

The Siskiyou School is providing magic, folk lore and sweets yet again at its annual WinterFaire from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at 631 Clay St. in Ashland.

Festivities include kid friendly activities including:

Roasting dragon bread;

Picking a treasure from the Pocket Person;

Trying not to wake the sleeping giant;

Visiting the magical throne room of the Fairy Queen;

Marionette show;

Making beeswax candles;

Face painting;

Fortune teller; and

Choosing a treat in the Crystal Cookie Room.

More than 25 gift vendors will provide more crafts, activity and food options.

Admission is free, but some activities require tickets which are $1 each.

A variety of live musicians will perform all day as well.

There is no parking at or near the school. Attendees are asked to be mindful of this. Carpooling, walking and biking are highly encouraged.
