Police and fire reports July 21

Monday 3:14 a.m. — Police responded to a reported domestic disturbance involving a firearm at the 700 block of Helman Street. A 48-year-old man was involved in a verbal dispute with family members at their residence. During the dispute, the man threatened family members with a high-powered rifle and shot two rounds in the air. The man fled the area prior to police arrival. He was later located a short time on the Greenway Bike Path near Eagle Mill Road, and was still in possession of the rifle when found. The man was taken into custody without incident and lodged in jail on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, disorderly conduct, reckless endangering and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Monday 3:28 p.m. — Police received a report of shoplifting at the 300 block of East Main Street. A known woman was taken into custody approximately three blocks away from the business and cited and released for theft. All stolen items were recovered.

Monday 6:53 p.m. — Lithia Springs Boy's Home reported two runaways.

Monday 9:53 p.m. — A doormat was stolen at the 100 block of Garfield Street

Monday 12:50 p.m. — Rescuers responded to a medical emergency at the 2900 block of Grizzly Drive.

Monday 2:27 p.m. — Rescuers responded to a medical emergency at the 2300 block of Ashland Street.

Tuesday 4:13 a.m. — Rescuers responded to a medical emergency at the 200 block of Holiday Lane.
