Police reports April 27

Friday 4:46 p.m. — Police cited a driver for failure to obey a traffic control device after a the driver ran through a red light and crashed into a vehicle passing through the intersection of Lithia Way and East Main Street.

Friday 5:06 p.m. — Police took a woman into protective custody on North Main Street after she told an officer she was suicidal. She was transported to Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Friday 6:26 p.m. — Police cited an 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man for not wearing helmets while skateboarding at the skate park on Water Street.

Saturday 12:35 a.m. — A new vehicle at Butler Ford was found with the key in the ignition and the motor running. The key was removed and the vehicle was secured. The key will be held at Ashland Police Department for safekeeping and will be returned to the dealership.

Saturday 1:31 a.m. — An Ashland Police Officer conducted a Drug Influence Evaluation on a person arrested for DUII by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.

Saturday 8:02 a.m. — Police investigated a report of vandalism on Fielder Street. At some time Friday evening or early Saturday morning, an unknown suspect threw three rocks through two windows of a garage. One of the rocks hit the electric garage door opener and rendered it inoperable.

Saturday 10:09 a.m. — An unknown person stole four hubcaps off of a vehicle on North Second Street.

Saturday 10:11 a.m. — An unknown person stole signs with the number two on them from the Texaco gas station on Lithia Way.

Saturday 12:53 p.m. — Police received a report of a fender bender on Lithia Way near Oak Street. After driver information was exchange, police cited one of the drivers for driving uninsured and impounded his vehicle.

Saturday 5:52 p.m. — Police cited two juveniles for not wearing helmets at the Ashland skate park on Water Street.

Sunday 12:22 p.m.—Police took an adult on North Main Street to detox.

Sunday 1:14 p.m. — Police cited a 23-year-old man for unnecessary noise on Lincoln Street after music and loud voices from a party held at his residence could be heard from two houses away.

Sunday 1:48 p.m. — Police investigated a hit and run on Lithia Way and North First Street.

Sunday 8:14 p.m. — Property found on East Main Street was turned into police for safekeeping.

Sunday 8:29 p.m. — A male juvenile was reported as a runaway from Lithia Springs Boys Home on Walker Avenue. The case is currently under investigation.

Monday 2:31 a.m. — Police arrested a 20-year-old man and 23-year-old man for outstanding warrants at the intersection of High and Bush streets. The 23-year-old had warrants issued by the City of Ashland for failure to appear on theft and disorderly conduct charges. The 20-year-old man had warrants issued by the Siskiyou County Superior Court charging possession of marijuana and a felony charge for sale of marijuana. Both were lodged at the Jackson County Jail.

Monday 3:13 a.m. — Unknown suspects entered Ashland High School and moved numerous desks from multiple classrooms to an outdoor courtyard in the center of the campus. The suspects also spray painted walls with graffiti. The case is currently under investigation.

Monday 6:06 a.m. — A woman reported that an unknown person entered her unlocked vehicle on Helman Street and stole a folder containing the vehicle's registration and proof of insurance.
