Police reports April 29

Tuesday 9:46 a.m. — Police found a man deceased in his residence on Sixth Street. Police investigated three hours after he was supposed to be at work, and found him deceased in his residence. No foul play is suspected.

Tuesday 10:09 a.m. — A 47-year-old man was arrested on Nevada Street after his probation officer placed a detainer on him.

Tuesday 10:16 a.m. — A man reported the theft of cash on Avery Street. The case is currently under investigation.

Tuesday 10:19 a.m. — A man reported that an unknown suspect backed a vehicle into his commercial building at 250 Oak St. There are currently no suspects or leads.

Tuesday 10:53 a.m. — A woman reported hit-and-run damage to the front of her vehicle while it was parked off of Will Dodge Way. The incident occurred Monday between the hours of 1 and 3 p.m.

Tuesday 1:25 p.m. — Police arrested a 65-year-old man on Skylark Place for failure to register as a sex offender after he moved to his last registered address and did not register his new address within 10 days of the move. He was cited and released.

Tuesday 3:26 p.m. — Police investigated a report of a burglary and vandalism on Iowa Street. At some point between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, unknown suspects broke into an unoccupied apartment and spray painted every wall, door and appliance with brown spray paint. The case is currently under investigation.

Tuesday 5:27 — A woman reported that her daughter's bicycle had been stolen overnight from a bike rack at Ashland Middle School.

Wednesday 12:25 a.m. — Police arrested a 41-year-old woman after she intentionally stood in a roadway and blocked traffic while trying to hitchhike a ride on Water Street and Central Avenue.
