The Grotto

Cuisine and scene: This "very original pizzeria" plays up its name with fishing nets suspended from the ceiling filled with imitation sea life and other flotsam. Established in 1999, the eatery evokes an old-fashioned, neighborhood pizza parlor, complete with a few arcade games and big-screen television, while accommodating customers' desire for unconventional toppings, such as teriyaki and barbecue chicken, and taco fixings.

Alternative diets: Vegetarian pizza and pasta options; two main-dish salads, as well as all-you-can eat from the salad bar for $6.75.

Beverages: Local and other domestic, draft and bottled beers; local, other domestic and imported wines by the glass and bottle; house wines by the glass and half carafe; fountain sodas; juice, milk and iced tea; 2-liter bottled sodas available for delivery or carry-out.
