An elderly couple was found deceased at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday in their home in the 300 block of Taylor Street, Ashland police said in a statement.
Officers found a deceased 85-year-old male and 86-year-old female.
Deputy Chief Warren Hensman said a detective team, Jackson County medical examiner and the district attorney personnel were called to the scene.
Hensmen said that investigators are confident the couple devised a plan to end their lives due to significant medical concerns. Further information was not immediately available because the department was still in the process of notifying next of kin.
