Jerry Lee Brewer

Jerry Lee Brewer passed away November 4, 2011, in Dallas, Texas, after a 10 year battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Jerry was born April 6, 1930, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Richard C. Brewer and Lois E. Weber.

In 1946, he moved to Trail, Ore. Jerry was a 1947 graduate of Prospect High School. He served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1954.

He married Marylen C. Laufer on March 17, 1955, in Reno, Nev. Together they had two daughters, Linda Kay and Cindy Lee. Jerry and his family moved to Southern California in 1960. His job as credit manager for JC Penney relocated him to Philadelphia, New York City and Dallas, Texas.

On September 7, 1977, Jerry married Billie Seesland in Dallas, Texas. They owned and operated Brewer Printing Co. in Rowlett, Texas. Jerry retired and sold the business in 1998.

Jerry's prized possessions were his gun and army helmet collections. He loved traveling to Civil War battlefields and airplane museums. He was a history buff who wrote books and articles for newspapers. He enjoyed car shows and auto racing.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Billie; daughter, Linda Brewer; grandchildren, Trisha and Erica Braden; and great grandchildren, Trevyn Clark and Mikayla Lively.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Patrick Brewer, and Leonard Vaughn; sister, Mary Jane Brewer; and daughter, Cindy Brewer.

A memorial service will be held at Eagle Point National Cemetery, December 8, 2011, at 1:00 p.m.
