Jessie Osgood, the daughter of Jessie and Samuel McKinnon, was born, reared and educated in Dumbarton, Scotland. The family later moved to Vancouver, British Columbia.
On March 2, 1937, she was married to Leonard Osgood, in Princeton, British Columbia. She came with her family to Ashland, Ore., in 1946, where she was active in the P.T.A. and was a member of the Congregational Church.
She was a kindergarten teacher, writer, and published poet. She was also a past president of the Ashland Study Club, and a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
She is survived by daughters, Marjorie Hoeft, of Ashland, Ore., and Lee Saadat, of Brookings, Ore.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
At her request there will be no memorial service. The family greatly appreciates the care given by hospice workers, and asks that any remembrances of Jessie be in the form of a donation to the Ashland Community Hospital Foundation.
