Tuesday is last day to register to vote

The voter registration deadline for the Nov. 6 general election is Tuesday for people who are registering to vote in Oregon for the first time or are changing their status.

People who are currently registered to vote in the state of Oregon, but have moved, changed their mailing address or name will need to update their registration. Ballots will not be forwarded.

Voter registration and updates can be completed online at www.oregonvotes.gov. Those who wish to register in person or have questions regarding the status of their voter registration can call the Jackson County elections office at 541-774-6148, or visit it in person at 1101 W. Main St., Suite 201, Medford.

People who wish to register to vote in the Nov. 6 election are advised to register online or in person. The deadline for online registration is midnight.

Ballot measure discussion Friday

The Rogue Valley New Day Network Breakfast will meet Friday, Oct. 19 with breakfast at 8 a.m. and program at 8:25 a.m. at the Rogue Valley Unitarian Fellowship, 87 Fourth St. Ashland. The presentation will focus on the five statewide measures on the November ballot. Presenters will be Alessandra de la Torre with Unite Oregon and Rich Rohde with Ashland Affordable Housing Commission.

The RV New Day Network promotes peace, justice and sustainability in the Rogue Valley and sessions are open to the public. It is a no-waste event and attendees are asked to bring their own place settings and food to share.
