Ashland High School will hold a financial aid information night for seniors and their parents Sept. 22 in the school’s interactive video conferencing center.
The meeting, considered important for students who plan to attend a private or public university, community college or trade school, will begin at 7 p.m. and conclude around 8:30 p.m.
Financial aid counselors will discuss the procedure for completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which qualifies students to receive the Federal Pell Grant, the Oregon Opportunity Grant, the Oregon Promise and government loans.
FAFSA goes live this year on Oct. 1 and will use tax information from 2015. Students planning to start college in the fall of 2017 should complete the 2017-18 FAFSA application.
