Ashland girls tennis team edges Grants Pass

GRANTS PASS — The Ashland girls tennis team got all it could handle on Wednesday afternoon, but the Grizzlies emerged with a 5-3 road win over Grants Pass to continue its early-season success.
Ashland’s No. 3 singles player, Zoe Zapf, claimed a three-set victory, edging Grants Pass’ AnMei Goei 12-10 in the final set.
The Grizzlies No. 4 doubles team of Lara Rivera and Bianca Onesti also won in three sets, winning the final two sets 6-2 and 10-7 after dropping the opener 7-5.
Ashland hosts Klamath Union on Friday afternoon.
