A man who was killed in a crash on Interstate 5 Tuesday was identified by police as Ryan Hitt, 32, from Ashland.
At about 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oregon State Police troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on I-5 at milepost 25.
Hitt, driving southbound in a white 1985 Toyota pickup truck, left the roadway for unknown reasons and rolled, coming to rest in some blackberry bushes adjacent to the freeway, according to a press release from OSP.
Hitt was not wearing a safety belt and was ejected from the truck. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
