Detour failure prompts early morning I-5 detour for northbound travelers

Due to a pavement failure on the northbound median crossover, Interstate 5 northbound traffic will be detoured from midnight tonight to 4 a.m. Friday, July 13, ODOT has announced.

Beginning at midnight, northbound traffic will be detoured onto Oregon 99 at Exit 11, onto Oregon 99 to Tolman Creek Road to Oregon 66 and back onto I-5 at Exit 14.

During the detour ODOT’s contractor will correct the pavement failure on the northbound crossover at the Crowson Road bridges, where the road surface over the pair of bridges is being replaced, first on the northbound side, necessitating its closure, and later in the summer on the southbound side.

The detour is scheduled to end by 4 a.m.

Southbound traffic and Crowson Road will not be affected.
