The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is offering discounted $10 rush tickets on selected performances to benefit Aging Community Coordinated Enterprises & Supportive Services (ACCESS) and Ashland Emergency Food Bank (AEFB). Those wishing to participate are asked to bring at least one non-perishable food item for donation to ACCESS or AEFB for each $10 ticket purchased. Patrons may also make a cash donation to ACCESS or AEFB to receive this special rush price.
Tickets are available two hours before curtain at the box office only, on a first-come, first-served basis. Bins will be provided for food or cash donations in the lobby at 15 Pioneer St., Ashland.
No $10 tickets will be sold over the phones or online. There are no refunds or exchanges on previously purchased tickets for these selected performances. For more information, call 800-219-8161.
In addition, OSF offers $5 Rush tickets to any rushing performance for holders of Oregon Trail cards.
The rush performances to benefit Ashland Emergency Food Bank are: "Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land" at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, and 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20; "Guys and Dolls" at 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18 and Tuesday, Oct. 20; and "Much Ado about Nothing" at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.
The rush performances to benefit ACCESS are: "Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land" at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, and 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31; "Guys and Dolls" at 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25; and "Much Ado about Nothing" at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, and Sunday, Nov. 1.
ACCESS is a private non-profit organization that provides food, housing, warmth, and other essential services to Jackson County's low-income children, families, seniors, and people with disabilities.
AEFB provides food, free of charge, to residents of Ashland, Talent and surrounding rural communities who would otherwise go hungry.
