Dear Inner Peace followers:
In March the Hindus celebrated the Holi Hindu Festival, Passover is from April 11 to 18; Easter is April 16 and Ramadan will fall on May 27.
All four arrive during the spring equinox as religious and spiritual holy events, and I am sure there may be others. Let us remember that our similarities and shared values are stronger and vaster than any perceived differences. Enjoy the wisdom of poetry and the reminders of mindfulness as we enjoy this beautiful season of spring.
I know the NOW is the total extent of your gifts to me NOW.
The NOW is the unchangeable result of the unchangeable past.
I can rejoice for what is or regret what is not.
But no rejoicing will destroy what is;
no regretting will create what is not.
Part of the NOW is my view of the FUTURE,
of my FUTURE.
I know that what I do now will influence the FUTURE.
I accept my responsibility for creating the FUTURE.
I rejoice in my responsibility and opportunity NOW
to improve future NOWs.
Yet I do not regret anything I have done,
anything I have not done.
or anything I cannot change.
I praise and worship the perfection of NOW ...
NOW is infinitely more perfect than the PAST or FUTURE
because NOW IS.
The PAST and FUTURE are not.
I am a part of you.
You are all of me.
I am proud to be a part of you.
I am humbled by your magnificence.
I am humbled by your mountains and valleys,
by your stars and moons,
by your seas and rivers,
by your plants and flowers,
by your animals and insects.
I am exalted by your consciousness,
by my consciousness.
Through consciousness I can touch all of You
And know that Nature is,
Nature is I,
I am Nature,
WE ARE GOD!
The following author, who lives in Ashland but prefers to remain anonymous, recently shared his wisdom that was developed over many years. I thought it so pertinent to our time so here it is:
“Overwhelming suffering is universal. Peacefulness seems relatively rare. Yet, is there any faster way than shared peacefulness to move our world toward peace and to diminish suffering? The current reminders which can aid in being peaceful have been developed over many years. I usually recite them to myself. Krishnamurti’s writings could be boiled down to the following: 'be absolutely alert and make no effort.' These were reported to be his last words, at age 90, to his friends and associates. In 1929 he renounced his role as World Teacher, maintaining that “truth is a pathless land.”
