Kiwanis donate $5K for AHS field

Ashland Kiwanis have donated $5,000 to the Ashland Schools Foundation towards replacing the grass Ashland High School football and soccer field with a high quality artificial turf field.

The new turf field will not only be used for football and soccer games and practices, but also be made available for other school and community sporting events.

In a statement, the Kiwanis Club said it is proud to be a major annual donator of funds to the Ashland High School, the Ashland Schools Foundation, and to the district’s elementary and middle schools. The club's donations have gone to support the AHS choir, AHS emergency fund, Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Foundation leadership camp, five senior scholarships, senior all-night party, youth of the month, Ashland Parks & Recreation Nature Center’s school program scholarship fund, Bellview reading program, elementary school essay contests, and various Key Club activities.
