Zwickelmania, the annual one-day event in Oregon when breweries open their doors to both casual and hardcore beer fans, lands on Saturday, Feb. 13, this year from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 100 breweries, big and small, are participating with meet-the-brewer events, tours and beer samples.
Standing Stone Brewing Company at 101 Oak St. in Ashland plans to host come-and-go brewery tours and free samples for the annual event. Brewmaster Larry Chase and assistant brewer John Donehower will show guests around the brew deck and serve samples of beer.
Last year, more than 32,500 people toured 115 participating breweries statewide and the Oregon Brewers Guild expects that number to increase in 2016 with many beer fans enjoying a long holiday weekend.
