Column a relief

What a relief to find Herb Rothschild’s column about former president George H. W. Bush in the Dec. 8 Tidings.

Whether they are attempting to escape the conditions inherited from the nefarious policies perpetrated by the Bush administration and the infamous School of the Americas, or are stuck in their countries living in situations of extreme poverty and abuse, I doubt President H. W. Bush is being remembered as a “nice guy” by the people of Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Guatemala.

Rothschild’s facts and sober analysis are a welcome contrast to the dangerous nonsense delivered by the current occupants of the White House.
