I support Carol Voisin’s election campaign for Position 4 on the Ashland City Council. When she was on the council in 2015, she supported passing the Climate and Energy Action Plan (CEAP). She especially supported the ordinance that would have put some teeth in the plan and would have made it mandatory that it be implemented.
The council didn’t pass the ordinance. Many of the students from Ashland High School are concerned that the Ashland community is not going forward with the climate plan that CEAP outlined. Southern Oregon University, Southern Oregon Climate Action Now, AHS Climate Change Solutions Class, Itty Imprint Productions and Carol have joined in supporting the Ashland Climate Change Youth Challenge, Oct. 14 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Pavilion on the SOU Farm.
I’m voting for Voisin because she cares for all the community as seen by repeatedly being a favorite Sneak Preview councilor and in supporting our youth.
